The Society’s Purposes
- To promote civic education and intellectual attainment among our members
- To uphold the concept of Americanism
- To keep alive the dissemination of Roman and Italian Arts and Culture in the United States

- To promote the moral, intellectual, and cultural well-being of our members
- To encourage active participation of our members in the educational, social and civic life of our community

- To cultivate goodwill among our members
- To maintain good relations between our members and the community and to foster the prestige and well-being of our community
- To assist our members who have been visited by misfortune
- To assist distressed persons and support charitable causes in our community
- To initiate and participate in patriotic and humanitarian movements
Membership
Membership in the Roman Cultural Society is open to men 18 years and older who are of Italian descent or whose spouse is of Italian ancestry. Annual dues are $40, and eligible applicants must reside within Central Illinois and be sponsored by two current Society members. By joining, you’ll connect with others who share your values, celebrate Italian heritage, and support community initiatives. If you meet these criteria, we encourage you to apply and become part of our proud tradition.
